How We Do It
We meet with representatives of the DPW (Department of Public Works), Parks & Recreation or other city and town departments to determine areas of need. These municipal officials then decide if the project will be a one-time cleanup, or if a recurring cleanup, they will determine the cleaning frequency. We will then develop a pricing proposal to meet the cities/towns requirements.
Once approved, we gather our personnel and supplies (bags, safety equipment, warning signs etc.), and coordinate our cleanup efforts with the municipal officials. All litter will be bagged, removed from the site and then delivered to a disposal site chosen by the city/town.
Roadsweep America is an approved maintenance provider for the state’s highways. Companies wishing to sponsor a 4-mile section of state highway for litter cleanup, will contact us directly, or through the state’s website. We will provide instructions to help them obtain state approval for a specific section of highway.
Once approved, we will install a sign with the company’s name and logo along the sponsored section of highway. We then gather our personnel, purchase the supplies (bags, safety equipment, warning signs, etc.), and then coordinate the litter cleanup during the months of April through October. The frequency of cleaning will be a minimum of 4 times, or more frequently if required by the state. The state has very specific rules and regulations regarding how the sponsored highway cleanup program works, which we follow to maintain our good standing as an approved maintenance provider.
